Villa Melina

The first time we came to Kalymnos was as guests of a wedding (April 2008). The marrying couple booked almost all of the rooms of Villa Melina for the guests. And even though we enjoyed the wedding, the time we spend with our family and Kalymnos itself, very very much, the high-point of the trip was our stay at Villa Melina! We could almost feel the cosiness of the place caressing us!
Five months later we came back and stayed again here. And in November we will come back once again to treat our selfs that distinct South-Aegean hospitality of Andonis & Themis.

Our stay at Villa Melina was beyond our expectations. We were treated as part of the family and made to feel at home from day 1. Thank you Adonis and Themis, definitely a place we will always endeavour to come back to.

We have stayed twice at the Villa with Andonis and Themis and we absolutely loved our experience there. We stayed in the roof top terrace room, and enjoyed the amazing views and breezes. Better hosts certainly could not be found than Andonis and Themis. The rooms are excellent, the food is amazing, and the little touches are always there to greet and welcome you at every turn. We have become friends, just from finding them online and then staying at the Villa. We highly recommend it as the best place to stay in Kalymnos. It's great to feel like you are part of the neighborhood, and it is not touristy in feel, but really as if you lived in the neighborhood with friendly, warm native Kalymnians. My family immigrated from Kalymnos long ago, and staying at the Villa was a dream come true, to experience to local culture, to be a part of the daily life and to reconnect with the intoxication that is Kalymnos. We dream always of returning again, and when we do, you can be sure we will stay again at the Villa Melina.

We came to Villa Melina by an accident. But wow - what a surprise. Here, in Antonis' "castle" we spend some nights and really enjoyed it. This swimming pool is fantastic, especially for the children, and the sorrundings are very nice.
We left for Leros (stayed at Glaros, Vromolithos) and can recommend that island as well.
Bu we will never forget our stay at Villa Melina, and we are already planning a comeback! A suberb place to be if yo want to calm down.
